Week of 9/4 Activities & Announcements

ACTIVITIES

  • September 6-11
    • Marion County Bible Reading Marathon
      • In Isaiah 55:11 God declairs, “My Word…shall not return to Me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose.” What does our country need more than the transformation God brings through His word? Convinced of this, the Iowa Prayer Caucus Network is asking Christians to donate at least 15 minutes to publicly reading Scripture. In Marion County, the entire Bible will be read in the gazebo by the courthouse between September 6-11. Volunteers are needed to read for 15 minute segments or to serve as two-hour ‘captains,’ as well as to pray. To learn more or to sign up, go to Facebook and search for “Marion County Bible Reading Marathon.” On that page, a “sign-up” link can be found under the directions tab. If you don’t have access to Facebook or need assistance, contact Dennis Fairchild (904-236-9187), Jim Den Hartog (641-627-5008), or Irene Blom (641-780-1057).
